Research
Research is commonly used in awards and charts in both Korean and International charts because it gives an indication of how popular a certain group is (both with their current fans as well as how many people are getting to know them at the moment). Methods such as tracking how often a group is searched, or the number of people beginning to follow them are usually used as an indicator.
